DIY Swimming Pools

HeatForm Panel Pools
HeatForm panels are manufactured in Devon from recycled plastic bottles and are a fantastic premium option for DIY builds due to their simplicity and rapid construction. An environmentally friendly option for their amazing insulation and recycled components, they are the ideal solution for indoor pools, complying with Part L Building Regulations for heat efficiency.
Wooden Swimming Pools
Suitable for both above ground and in ground installation, a wooden swimming pool is in some cases the lowest cost method of creating a pool that's built to last. With sizes up to 5m x 10m and only a concrete base required, the skill required to install is probably the lowest of all options.
Even better is that for above and partially-sunk installations you are left with an attractive exterior requiring no further work to blend in perfectly with a garden or decking.
You don't even have to compromise on accessory options either with a range of options available!
Liners and Tiles
There is a huge range of options available for both premium on-site lining materials with installation included, to standard tailored liners that can be fitted yourself in a variety of plain colours or patterns from the biggest UK brands. For those looking for tiles, we work with some of the most respected swimming pool tile providers in the country.
Whatever your aesthetic, there is an option available to create that perfect swimming pool look and feel.
EPS Blocks (polystyrene)
EPS blocks are larger and lighter than traditional concrete blocks and require minimal concrete in-fill to complete installation. Saving both time and your back, they also save energy with excellent thermal performance.
Thermal performance and speed of installation is reduced compared to HeatForm, but at a large cost-advantage.
Pool and Pond Conversion Refurb
If you have an old or abandoned pool or pond that you would like bring back to life then there are a variety of methods depending on the condition and original construction.
Often, tiled pools or concrete ponds can be converted to liner pools with some adaptation, or larger areas can be made smaller.
Ponds, even the filtered garden variety, aren't a direct conversion due to different filtration and hygiene requirement, so it's best to seek advice before commencing work to ensure that the final product is safe, clean, and enjoyable.

Air Source Heat Pumps
A modern, inverter swimming pool heat pump is undoubtedly one of the most cost efficient and potentially stylish ways to heat your pool.
Ultra silent, ultra efficient, or in-keeping with an aesthetic theme, there are a wide range of models available from the most reliable brands around.
We generally don't offer the cheapest, but if budget is a concern then we have some great compromises that are lower cost while still offering excellent reliability and support.
For peace of mind, we have warranties up to 12 years on some models.
Slatted Pool Covers
To us, the slatted pool cover is the King of Covers. It's such a versatile group of products that caters to many tastes and needs. There is a range of styles for above ground reels to match to paving and preferences, or you can opt for a submerged cover that you can't see, with the pit covered in a decking or stone of your choice.
Slats come in a variety of colours and you can even benefit from solar heat gain with a polycarbonate option. Even better, nearly all are electric, taking the work out of opening your pool, and the above ground rollers feature solar powered options for even easier installation! If safety is a concern, locking kits are available that prevent people and animals from becoming submerged and trapped.

For the pool surround, water features such as cannons and curtains can add a lot of personality and fun to a pool. In the pool, a counter-current swim jet provides fun, therapy, and exercise in a single unit.

Water Treatment and Automation
Water treatment and automation is why Energise Leisure Ltd exists; it's where our expertise started and ensuring water is correctly cared for is vital to keeping your pool clean, safe, and enjoyable for many years.
The amount of time and effort you are able or willing to spend can direct our suggestions with regard to pool care. We recommend that all outdoor pools have at least a chlorine tablet feeder and a UV system, but beyond that it's your choice.
If you want to upgrade, we offer a variety of automatic chemical dosing systems with remote access options, or for even more hands-off care can provide automatic backwash systems to look after your filter.
